DS Eye Candy

At the Stratford rally was this rather nice example of a DS (link copied across from the CCC website), oh and the registration is genuine.

Blimey. I wonder if the owner would like to bring it on our Citroen Classic Challenge in 2012?

That is an absolute prime example.
Even my wife likes those and she is as apathetic about cars as it is possible to get.

I quite agree, I can't imagine many people valuing a DS at that much, after all whilst they are a little special they are at the end of the day old car's and drive like one. Great wafting along up to 50 mph, go any faster then bung up your ear's for the cacophony of wind noise and engine droning. I love going for gentle drives on nice days but prefer to avoid long journeys involving motorways, yes the car will cruise happily beyond 70 mph, the trouble is my ears don't appreciate the racket.

Seriously, do none of you blokes like first or second front cars?

I am such a b*tch:

Very few people have got a regasser that doesn't require this reshaping of the sealing cap. A mate was onto something using set screws which pressed into the cap side, but I don't think it was successful. Evidently the factory tool uses massive pressure on its three side-facing gripper pins.
