That will be very tasty if you can get the door fixed up! Any leaks?

That looks like the perfect Activa once the bodywork is sorted, working AC, a sunroof, leather interior, what more could you want?!

:dom: as my passenger and the economy of a diesel...

I'll give you a proper opinion when I pick it up tomorrow. 100 mile drive home should be quite interesting.

Well the drive home was interesting and quite comfy. I'd love to know how to get electric leather seats 'just so'. It must be becasue they are leather I always seem to get chronic back ache.
First impressions when I got the car was that the dent in the door was ok, but the scuffs on the other two corners on that side were irritating but at least plastic bumpers don't rust.
The suspension went up quite smoothly and quite quickly so no complaints there...yet.
The front o/s tyre was only half inflated so I thought I'd put the spare on - which was a brand new pilot premacy (as were all the other tyres). Not the tyre of choice apparently. Anyway, the tyre wrench was bent so I couldn't get ernough grip to loosen off the nuts. I think they had been tightened up by king kong!
A careful drive to the nearest garage and soon the tyres were up to the precribed 36/33 psi.
Feeling a bit more confident I ventured to find the A41 in a bit more of a spirited fashion throwing it round a few roundabouts.
I was surprised at how easy it was to creep up from a steady 65 to 90 because it was lovely and quiet.
It's done very little mileage in the last 3 or 4 years (about 3000 pa) so hopefully nothing has ceased up. It certainly didn't feel like it on the way home.
When I got back to the local roads and had to wait at the lights it did a spot of the shuffles but I'll get it all checked over properly in due course.

Anyone got a spare cd changer??

Shuffle is most likely the control arm bushes being worn, cheap and easy to replace, but when you remove them check that the actual control arms haven't been worn where they go through the bushes, if they haven then they'll need replacing too, in which case make sure you're aufait with how to set up the roll correction before you start.
Also check the bush in the rear ram.

It might be worth getting the sphere's pressure tested as Activa's are notorious to taking a long time to rise due to number of sphere's on them, a car that rises quickly can be an indicator of a few flat sphere's.

I'm sure that after a bit of fiddling with the seats (they can be adjusted every which way) you'll find them very comfortable.

To be honest, the rising took a little while; it was the stop light that went out quite quickly.

In the cold light of day, it has quite a noticeable lean to the left. It settles flat when the engine is running though.

The stop light should take a long time to go out on an Activa. 30 - 45s is normal.

I'd agree that you need to pressure check all spheres, especially the main and Activa accumulators, the latter hides under the battery tray and is often overlooked...

What is your tick rate?

I wrote somewhere how to set up the roll corrector linkages. It is not a nice job.

Leaning will not be helped by flat spheres so do check those and the linkages before trying to do any adjustments.

I still remember you viewing the missus' car and worried about how long it was taking to raise then reading on the old activanet forum that the time of 30-45 secs was about right for an activa. I'm glad to say that her one is still allowed to be on the road.

Ahh :D They penny's just dropped. I remember who you are now!!

Back in those days I knew less than nothing about Activas. After three of them I know a tad more about them these days...

Good to see Liz's old one is still going strong :D
