XUD Injector tips
Does anyone know if the injectors on our 95 1.9TD (Bosch pump) Xantia have replaceable tips/nozzles.

Yes they can, but they will need the pop pressure set afterwards.

Thanks chaps. I hadn't thought about the 'pop' pressure needing resetting after changing a needle/nozzle set.
Yes, they must always be a matched set because of the super-fine tolerances required. As the tip is the bit that does all the work (in an old-style injector), when it gets worn, the injector doesn't snap open and shut smartly, it dribbles and doesn't produce the fine mist of fuel required to burn quickly and cleanly. Bigger droplets are more reluctant to take light when starting (possibly my problem) and don't burn as efficiently (affecting economy).
As an apprentice 40 years ago, I did a spell testing and repairing injectors, but I really can't remember if the break (pop) pressure did have to be reset after changing tips. I do remember spending endless hours testing new injectors - rejecting the odd 1 for not breaking at quite the right pressure rarely broke the monotony.
