renault grand scenic keyless entry/lock help??

hi folks my grand scenic keyless entry is playing up,it doesnt let me in on drivers side or lock on drivers side just the passenger side opens and locks by keyless entry,how do i solve this problem?we had a 54 privilege scenic before this and at the end it went like that too and didnt bother as we got it sold before purchasing grand scenic although all the doors worked via keyless entry and locked via keyless entry not now lol cheers folks

Hi, very common problem. The little black screen behind the handle is the sensor, which has failed. It needs replaced or the contacts cleaned. Apparently it's due to water ingress, and is changed by removing the door card etc so an expensive job if done by Renault!

Hi, yes this is common across the range. My latest purchase came with the problem and I was adamant to get a workround. I can now fix these on Meganes and Clios without removing any trim.
