What colour will Stig come back in this time, and if it's a female will we see a pink Stig?

Well, I think it's a bloody shame that there has been an element that has been hell-bent on unmasking the Stig and in doing so, destroying a lot of fun and pleasure that derived from his aura of mystery.

We all know he is Ben Collins, it's been an open secret for ages, but there was still an element of doubt to keep us guessing.

I detest the people responsible.

Still, it'll give Clarkson and co. plenty of fodder for the next series... No doubt they'll turn it to their hilarious advantage...

I await with interest...

It should be kept as a mystery, and the Stig is the Santa Claus of the motoring world for young and old!

Absolutely right. For what they've done I hope the perpetrators of the unmasking are given a few laps of the track in the reasonably priced car...

...On the end of ropes attached to the bumper and with the Stig at the wheel...

Indeed; the format of Top Gear is looking in many ways a little tired but I highly doubt any of the three main presenters are asking any less for flogging a stale show. For all the genuine passion and enthusiasm for motoring the hosts show, they may as well be poking at new dishwashers with sticks.

I presume TG owns the "Stig" name, and therefore it'll crimp Mr Collins' abilities to milk the association. However, when Mr Bennett dies, he will still inherit Longbourne.

Another mystery, to me, is, 'Who is 'Ben Collins'"?

Don't answer.

Stig Of The Dump (He was the original, & 1st to be dumpe

Unread post by ACTIVE8 »

Well before we see what happens regarding the Stig on Top Gear, it appears that Fifth Gear which returns tonight at 19.30hrs with a new series, will feature the Stig.

On the trailer for tonights show he was seen with his helmet off, and in a black suit, so it appears the original Stig will be on Fifth Gear.

They film Fifth Gear at times with filters in the way that Top Gear have done, and now they have a Stig apparently, well they do say immitation is the most sincerest form of flattery.

...Note the trailer showed the Stig in a long shot, not close up, and it looked like the first one Perry McCarthy.

We shall find out more later on no doubt!

P.S. I also feel flattered   as I have had my choice of avatar used as a signature!

Edit......................I.E used as a forum signature by another member you cant miss it as it's large, and my avatar has been sent on a diet!

5th gear really try, but your right they are not funny. However I do find some of their stuff very informative, I'll never forget the 50mph frontal impact test performed using a Renault espace from the 90's with a brand new espace, the difference in passenger protection was amazing.

Thing is 5th gear should be amazing, almost all the presenters are ex raceing drivers of some discipline, where as Clarkson, Hammond, and May are just a bunch of guys who like cars, in fact it seems they are actively encouraged to act thick, I recall a Clarkson quote "and it has 300 torques".

In short given the choice id take Top gear, however 5th gear are worthy competitors.

You all should see this Clarkson beat box.. very funny.
