Hi All
well the gearbox has been rebuild and running like new but now i have load of oil all over the back of the engine and load of black smoke coming out when the engine is under load 9 days go before I go on holiday in Holland

Hi All
1996 806 1.9td when the engine under load heavy nocking and load of dark smoking back of engine has oil over it around intercooler

Hi Graham,

Sounds like the pump timing is all out of kilter.

More than likely because of a failed needle lift sensor on No.3 Injector.

Disconnect it with the engine running and see if there is a difference in engine note.

Meanwhile, do a few searches around the forum for topics relating to the needle lift sensor. You'll find plenty of test procedures and similar symptoms.
