They are recognised for performing silly tricks like this.
Often it is the battery or alternator failing, low voltages drive them doolally.
Trick is to recharge the battery at least overnight and check it's condition.
There is a battery removal procedure that is a bit of a pain. I'd need some time to look it up to be precise but you need it in a garage with the driver's window fully open and the bonnet up. Lock the door and remove the key.
Turn off everything and wait at least 15 minutes - go and have a cup of tea. This is to allow the ECUs to save all their data - particularly important with the satnav, easy to ruin that by disconnecting too soon.
Disconnect the battery terminals and remove the batter for charging.
Get a light bulb, headlamp bulb will do and press the battery terminal onto the bulb terminals for a minute to discharge the system through the bulb. About a minute is sufficient.
Press the battery terminals together to complete the system discharge.
To reinstall the battery there is a similar dance to perform.
Don't open the door!
Refit the battery, presuming it is in good condition with a full charge.
Wait five minutes.
Reach in through the driver's window and turn the key one position using the valet key. Keep the remote in your pocket for now.
Wait five.
Turn the key to the next position and turn the lights on.
Wait 1.
Operate the locks with the remote - you may have to do this a couple of times to disengage the immobiliser.
Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes, five at least, before doing anything else.
You will probably find that many of the little niggles have been abolished now, just the auto windows, auto lights and wipers to be reset, and the radio to re-tune.
Otherwise it is most likely the BSI failing

If doing a BSI reset & re-initialising the windows doesent work then it will most likely need a new window motor/ECU. The windows on C5's go up when you put the wipers on as a comfort feature, The windows have an anti pinch feature incase anything gets trapped in the window when it's closed. when your operating the wipers its trying to put all the windows up but it's thinking there is something in the way so it drops the window a bit.
