berlingo dw8b egr vacuum box? identification help

Post by finny »

hi, could anyone tell what the plastic oblong box located under the egr solenoid is called, its got 3 vacuum pipes going in/out, one is for the egr solenoid, one pipe heads under the the air housing towards the egr valve and the in one comes from the vacuum pump, ive got a pipe broke off and ive been told to make sure its all connected up before i have it read for faults on a hesitation problem which is suspect is something to do with the advaced solenoid on pump, i have a part number but have tried with no luck to find anything 96415 367.80-00. thanks

sorry i havent masterd the art of transfering diagrams from service citroen as yet,

although i have mahaged to copy it to coral photo house on my computer (thats half way there)

my vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]. i just had a quick look about and a 1628 lq is an electric solenoid used across the citroen/peugeot range, i dont think its the part, the part im trying to identify has just 3 vacuum pipes no electrical connection, its bolted directly under the battery right next to the egr solenoid, it must be something to do with egr i think, ive searched google high and low for this one, the part number? 96415 36780-00 is on the plastic unit, possibly not the part number?, even the bloke at the citroen specialist said i needed to sort that part out first what ever it was, the manufacture date stamped on it is correct for the van year. thanks for your help and the welcome to the forum, im from deal area up past dover way

I know the part you are thinking of and have seen it on (most) DW8 engines. I think its just a pressure (well vacuum) ball valve assembly.

There are no pictures that I could see (bear in mind I only have Peugeot docs, although they are 99% the same) I looked at both 206 DW8 and Partner DW8, although I could not find it anywhere :(

I do know what you mean though. Its got rounded corners (usually) and has a few tiny vacuum pipes into it.
