CD player acquired, code required.

Post by Gingerposer »

Folks, I bought a cd unit to replace the tape player in my Xantia, cos much as I like the Smashing Pumpkins, it's wearing a bit thin listening to only one tape day in , day out.
So, having got this cd player, I now need to get the code for it. Here are hopefully some photos of it, can someone tell me what make it is and how to get the code?

Its a CLARION ... (generic to all Cit/Pug cars) you'll get the code from the main dealers

Should cost you bout a tenner

or you could go here >>>>>>>>>>>>>.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Clarion-Radio-Cod ... Players_PP

30 quid for a code? that's more than half the cost of the player! Think I'll wander over to the dealer. What info will the dealer require?

What about Old-Guy's codebreaker? Free, and you could always shout him a pint or equivalent once it's sorted.

Out of Idle Interest I stuck your Radio details into An old Codex reader I have................

after 5 attempts it continually threw up the codes 1636 .... 2544...& 5241

Now whether this'll work I don't know ..but it'll do NO HARM to TRY IT!!!

Clarion base their coding on 4 Digits of the serial number ( But I cannot remember WHICH 4 so

Yer First 4 Generated the code ...........1636

Yer second 4 Generated the code.........2544

Yer Third 4 Generated the Code..........5241

one of those WILL WORK .... but I don't know WHICH ONE!!!
