So, that's at least 10 years motoring without the fear of the engine falling out!!
As yours is a manual, sounds like your on the right track to me. I can't tell you from my xantia experience, but from BX TD top mounts seemed to make a real difference even in a fairly strong mount at about 130, 000. THat confirmed what I found in cars before, generally, that the top mounts tend to be the ones that go first. Of course that cannot be always true, as it depends on the particular engine's mount points and their relative strength, but it seems it's the traditional scheme of things for many cars. SO you can often get a great improvement with a top mount change, without compromising the change by not going for the bottom at the same time.thinking of doing the rubber insert on the top engine mount next.
