Xantia engine earth strap

Bit of newbie question - where, if any, would I find my engine's earth strap or cable? It's under suspicion and I'd like to check it without having to hunt for it first.

Mike on mine there is one from gearbox top to chassis..

remove airbox and it will be a bit more visible..

Thats were they all are, petrol or DERV... its route, is battery to Earth Panel, then a 2nd wire out down to the gearbox, then a join there for a 3rd wireto the chassis....

Earlyer cars have an even more complex earthing harness...
