c5 dashboard lights

Hello

Just got a 2003 C5 this week. The car had been off the road for 2.5 years.

When I turn on the lights the dashboard lights up, but after about two minutes the dashboard lights go out. This is quite annoying. Is there a relay at fault? Or is it worse?

Is that with the engine running ?
The car has an economy mode where it turns off lights and radio after a while when the engine is stopped.
How soon it does it even depends on the state of the battery.

It is when the car is running. Now it has got worse and there is no display lighting at all. The indicator dashboard lights are part of this . I was guessing a relay, but do not know which one.

F24 15A in glove box says instrument panel.

Controlled from the BSI how good is the battery? and are you looking at this during the day or night? If you have auto mode and the light switch is in auto lights will illuminate (or not) according to ambient light levels.

It does not seem to be any of the settings I have chosen. One moment the dash is lit up, and the next it goes out and stays out. I only know the indicators are on by the noise---all the lights go out on the dash.
I only got the car last week so will need to check further.

By the way, I am downloading emanualonline for C5. Has anyone else downloaded it?
