Bleeding C5 Brakes

Post by Gregg1100 »

Hi,
My son`s 05 C5 VTR has an n/s rear brake calliper that has corroded right by where the pad retaining pin goes through. We will get a replacement calliper from a local factor.
The question is; do you bleed the brakes the same way as the Xantia 2 .???
Thanks,
Greg

The C5 has a conventional braking system so to do it without a pressure bleeder you would need somone to pump the pedal unlike the xantia where you can let the HP pump do all the work.
Remember it uses standard DOT 4 brake fluid, not LHM/LDS.
