Possibly done on purpose, as the rear number plate has been removed...

Or taken off for filming to prevent identity...

Brean Sands in Somerset. Happens several times every year - some muppet ignores the warning signs and drives too far down the beach towards the fast approaching tide, gets bogged in water-logged sand and before a recovery truck can arrive, the car's been drowned.

Ha ha, my girlfriends Dad used to make a living dragging people off the beach at Brean sands, had a lovely selection of tractors and ex army trucks especially for it!

Yeah, at least he could've wound the driver's window up, closed the roof and
the ventilation vents...

I wonder about that numberplate being AWOL - you reckon he removed it to
hide his shame with the local press/bystanders/public p!ssing themselves
laughing at his expense? :?

Nice colour too. :(

Not a bad colour is it :) It looks like a blue iv only seen a couple of times on the earliest Xantias this was a mk2 do i think ?

Id say he probably took the plates off as a sign that the car was left there to "float" out to sea  and that it was rendered unwanted

It was a series - black bumper inserts and square front wing orange indicators:

wonder what the wheels were as they don't look normal for a Xant. Deffo flooded the engine in the middle pic.
