ML5 gearboxes

Just bought an ML5 gearbox from a DW12 C5 to fit onto my DW10 Dispatch engine, because it has the high-ratio diff.
Lo and behold, the bellhousing is bigger, by about 20mm in diameter - guess the DW12 block is different to the DW10. plus the clutch / flywheel is too.
Would like to know if it's possible to fit the DW12 diff into the DW10 gearbox, as internal ratios are the same.

Can you unbolt the bell housing from one and fit to the other ?.....you can on some gearbox types..it might be a way out . ..............rgds...Dannyboy

I intend to swap the bellhousing, or use my original gearbox. However, although the diff unbolts, its housing is part of the bellhousing...
That's why I'd like to know if it will bolt into a DW10 bellhousing. Bit obscure I know, but somebody might have done it
