fault code p0483 cooling temp in ecu ?? help

hello,

please help ive got a c3 1.4 hdi and its really holding back power wise , the ecu as been read and bring up this -

P0483 PRESENCE OF COOLING FUNCTION INCORPORATED INTO
ENGINE MANAGEMENT ECU OPEN CIRCUIT OR TEMPERATURE
TOO HIGH

P0480 No Description

could anyone tell me is there a seperate temp sensor for the ecu and the dash temp gauge ? also if there is where is it located ?

There is certainly two sensors on my IDI, one for dash and one for ECU.

I'd look around the coolant hoses and thermostat housing. On mine, it's a green plug and a blue plug, yours might be different.
