406 Radio

Post by DHallworth »

Hey Guys,

The 406 I just bought has an after market Sony radio fitted to it.

I want to fit an original Peugeot radio to the car as this one is horrid.

I've been told that the radios need coding to the car. Is this correct?

It's a 1999 facelift model HDi.

If it's correct, can I do this with the Lexia?

Thanks

David.

Hi!

Yes I think you can!!! You'll need the Vehicle VIN Number and the Blue Confidential Code Card!!! Pugshot tackle sounds lovely, I've heard things on Gilbert O'Sullivan CD tracks that I've never heard on FM radio ever!!!

If you can get hold of the 40W JBL kit fitted to GLX/Executive models you'll be over the moon with it!!!

David,

I don't believe you need a code for the D9 (facelift)

I've heard that Toby.

Thing is I've also heard that the radio needs to be coded into the cars ECU.

Bloody electrics making things complicated!
