C5 Estate 2.0 VTR Diesel Auto Droning Noise

Hi
My car has covered 80k miles and over the last 10k miles has developed a droning noise - I can't make my mind up as to whether it is the auto gearbox, the bearings or the tyres - has anybody got any experience on this?
