Rear Ram bush

Unread post by Quackers »

Does anybody know the part number for the rear ram bush and a diagram of citroen pr net?

I had it changed on my Activa when i first had it at 59,000 miles 4 years ago.

She is now on 114,500 miles and over the last 20,000 the rattle at the rear has been getting worse, and also the amount she is twitching at the rear, and cannot take the rattle anymore :x I am guessing it would be this little bush again?

I could give you the part number but do you really want to pay £150 for one when a perfectly good substitute can be turned up in a lathe from Nylon66 for pence?

I've been running one for some while on Rattiva now with no worries.

Turn up a cylinder 23.9 mm in diameter, 23.8mm long with a 12mm diameter hole through the middle and job's a good 'un.

Else that, buy a new ram and they'll chuck one in for free

is a ram that much more than the cost of a bush?

I do not want to have to spend that £150, but the rattle is driving me nuts, and car mechanics is not my think, so i am looking at £300 with garage bill ontop at a guess :(

A new rear ram is £403 from main stealer.

I have a rattle but I know that it's probably from the worn ball joint at the top of my rear ram.

I'm saving for a new ram ( don't tell my wife though :D ).
