Hi this is my first post.
I have a Citroen C5 2003 (52 plate) estate.
every so often the clutch pedal seems to go towards the floor, one time I found it on the floor, pulled it up by hand and carried on driving. If you pull the pedal up, it remains ok for some time.
The clutch is hydraulic on this car.
I'd be grateful for any solutions.
Thanks
Michael

I've had this on my 05 facelift 2l C5. I bleed a little fluid through the slave cylinder. It's been OK for about a month but the problem had only occured once before.
What have you tried and did it work?
Mine has done 87K miles and the bite point is getting a bit higher than it was when the car was new. I'd expect more miles than this before replacing the clutch. My last Xantia was at about 130K before it needed changing.

this is all about replacing oil in hidraulic clutch? mine doesnt remain stucked but its coming back in steps with a noise of rubbing somewhere.
We could grease something behind the pedal, a shaft, or other things?
If I have to replace oil which oil will fit in there?

Although replacing clutch fluid is'nt going to do any harm (unless you can't get it to bleed properly!) it's unlikely to be the solution for the pedal sticking down. It's most likely to be a fault in the master cylinder BUT that's only the % option, it could be a clutch problem. If it only happens occasionaly I'd be inclined to put up with it. Good job I don't give that advice to my customers!

Clutch death at this mileage is not uncommon and if the clutch doesn't get you the DMF willPhiljw wrote:I've had this on my 05 facelift 2l C5. I bleed a little fluid through the slave cylinder. It's been OK for about a month but the problem had only occured once before.

Interestingly went to look at a 2005 2.0 ltr today 91K on the clock turns out that's just had a clutch and flywheel change.
