I've just replaced the rear arm bearings on the offside rear of my Activa.
I used a kit I got from GSF several years ago. It's been in the cupboard in my garage.
It was tricky but went ok and so I'm ready to do the nearside, but, can you still get the kits?
Xantia Rear Arm Bearing Kit - can you still get them?

Confirmed, the BX kits are the same, the arms are virtually the same design.. I bought a BX kit for my Xantia TD... made a massive difference to the rear end "Float"

The car was firstly fitted with New spheres, this allowed some movement, however, a loud cracking noise started comming from the rear when pressing on the rear... so I did the bearings and now whern I press down on the boot the back hits the bump stops its that soft! Also when accellerating away the back sits on the floor!!! The pump cant pump her up quick enough...
So it went from soft to super soft! EVEN with a boot full of tools!!!

They were NOT preventing me from pushing down, they contributed to slight stiffer rear end, but by ne means bad!!
When your car is sitting in normal height, how do the rear wheels look for about a few yards behind?? Do they look to be leaning inwards at the top at all??? If they are dead straight vertical, then theres NO need to do anything with your rear bearings.
I see you have a VSX Xantia, theres a number of other things that can cause problems.. for example, the ECU could be stuck in hard mode.. the electro vlave at the rear could be playing up...

Just been to GSF and purchased a rear arm repair kit for a BX.
It's an SKF kit with SKF part number VKDA 23001 which is exactly the same as my old kit which I've recently used on the offside rear of my Activa.
The GSF number is 512PC0050 and it cost £45.71 (this includes VAT).
