Xantia 12v accessory socket

Unread post by Gingerposer »

The 12 v power outlet on the side of the centre console has no power and I cannot find which fuse it is in the handbook - I may have an S1 handbook though and the car is S2 (ebay handbook).

Any pointers?

Cheers again,

IIRC its run off of the same circuit as the cigarette lighter.

Also discussed here: accessory socket shunt Moving the shunt on my HDi has only brought on the accessory socket, and not the cigarette lighter, and the clock didn't go off when I did it!

After reading a bit more on here I checked fuse 16, although the existing fuse looked intact, changing it brought the accessory socket and the cigar lighter socket back to life.
Now I have also got it on the unswitched (ignition independent) position, and have done the same with the radio fuse (losing clock and radio memory in the process but hey, small sacrifice). Just need to remember not to leave radio on overnight!

Cheers

Careful if you have the volume turned down low or the radio has a mute button on it, I often forget to unmute it, so I put my radio fuse back to where it was... on with the key only.
