Mt C5 has recently developed an occasional intermittent chirp / clicking, apparently associated with the aux belt.
I've just fitted a new belt, and I think the noise is still there, although it's only clicked a couple of times. The crank pulley seemed to be OK, and the tensioners were fine. However, I did notice a small amount of play in the alternator pulley, which has an overrun clutch.
Has anyone had a problem with this clutch, and if so, were the symptoms similar?
