erratic speedo

yes my xantia has another fault the speedo sometimes works and sometimes dosnt and when it stops so does the mile ometer and trip i was thinking the sensor but where the hell is it what is it driven off and what colour plug should it have cheers guys

Hi

The sensor is on the diff housing just above where the drivers side driveshaft enters.

The problems I have had with intermittent speedo's on XMs have been due to dry joints on the instrument panel PCB.
