What's with this new Citroen Service site search?

Post by andmcit »

I can't get the original x3 ways to search via icons, list or search box and these
options aren't half as good as the areas I've searched within before! And the
search box on the top right is kaput! Is this work in Progress from Citroen?

select the area of the car you want to look at when you have the page up as in Andrew's post,

select the area from the catagoy list to the right of each picture for what part of the car you wish to look at,

this gives a break down of that particular section, then click the item from that list, which give you the exploded diagram and part No. list,

I got fed up not seeing the right stuff on the Citroen Service site and re-registered the other night.

Tis all working great now but I do agree, this new way of searching it crap!

The site claims that the reason for new look is due to euro 5 regulation. I believe it is some kind effort of unifying the electronic parts catalog systems between car makers. Could not verify it on Google, though.

And yeah, the new look sucks.

BTW, you can find the old look system under "free services -> EURO 5 parts documentation"

service.citroen.com

It's got "Motor Trade Professionals Only" plastered all over it, and they ask for a VAT number....but there doesn't seem to be any check, I just, ahem, made one up!

The new search seems to be quicker to me, but finding obscure parts might be a bit of a challenge.

eg: Let's have a competition to see how long it takes to find the cabin temperature sensor for the climate control on a Xantia. Used to take about 20 minutes on the old system - even when I could nearly remember where to look

Anyone know what NFP stands for next to a part number ? I am trying to find the ZX (drum) nearside solid brake pipe but it has NFP next to it.

I believe it stands for something like "no further production" i.e no longer available.

Funnily enough, that's what I thought it stood for, and when it comes to the nearside brake pipe, it does
