Cutting out

Hi all,

Puzzling problem :!: The old girl has suddenly stopped running (3 times)as I am slowing down approaching ATS, junction etc. there are no warning signs or anything.

Any suggestions :?:

Possible air ingress or anti-stall needs adjusting.

Anti-stall should not need any kind of routine adjustment though, normally points towards other causes...

Get engine warm (as in 70c so just normal temp) , then very quickly rev up to about 2500rpm or so and shut acc quickly (let it snap shut as it were)

Watch rev counter during this, if you see it 'bounce' below idle much it may be anti-stall that wants doing, although as above its not a normal adjustment. In my limited experience it only needs looking at if you change the idle speed typically or have done other involved pump work.
