R134 refrigeration gas price rise

Post by cachaciero »

For those who may be interested.
have just had an e-mail from my local refrigeration supplier who says:-
due to world wide shortages of refrigeration gases and market instabilities the price of R134 will increase in price by 10% on the 1st of June and by a further 15% on the 1st of July.
Obviously somebody is expecting a warm summer and is preparing for it :-)

It's us airsofters in hot climates using it to power our pistols :)
Propane (an alternative gas used in airsoft) is often too powerful for summer temperatures.
