205 Steel Wheels (XS and D-Turbo)

Post by spider »

I don't have a picture to hand, but these steel wheels were 'only' fitted to the 1.4XS and the 'real' (not the later Mardi-Gras) 'D-Turbo' and not that common it seems. :?

I can remember they are 13 inch. What tyre size did they have please ? (I cannot find it in my notes unfortunately) , they were not 155's , I seem to think 175x?x13 but I could be wrong. :)

I need to hunt down a set of these wheels at some point too...
Andy.

If you know the reg of the model of 205 you want the tyres for, you could try putting the reg into kiwkfits website and seeing what it brings up.

Good plan :)

Its showing 165/70T13 , which could well be right, although I am sure I originally had 175/70/13 :?: , but I'm going back a few years...

No hurry anyway have to locate said wheels first (locally) as postage would be horrendous for a set without tyres that are worth probably £30 at most.

I'll probably put on 175/65/13 instead of 165/70T13 , as 175/70/13 will throw it slightly out gearing wise (not a lot though, not stopped to calculate it yet)

Soon be time to hunt around for a set of these locally, as postage will be a kings ransom for a set of steel wheels which are worth only £5 a rim at most 'used' , and bolts too. I have about 3 or 4 bolts lying around but the newer stuff is all 17mm, so I'll have to search a fair bit to find them too.

I can see my collecting these wheels one by one (or probably two) over a couple of months as and when they are available though...
