GSF part number

Post by MikeT »

I need a replacement coolant sensor for my TD - it's the one at the rear of the fuel filter, the green one.

Looking on citroen.service exploded diagrams, I'm told it's #11 part # 1338 78 but it also says it's "grey ring" (whereas the other two are correctly identifed as "blue" and "maroon") Could it mean green but lost in translation or something? If you say grey ring fast enough it does almost sound like green

But where's the pricing gone? When I go to basket all I get is a customer details form, no part number, no pricing.

So let's check the alternatives....
Looking on GSF online, they list one sensor for all Xantia's which is just plain wrong IMO. 929PC0150

Mike,

Just returned. Service Citroen seems to have extra stages after you click basket now. Click one of the two symbols in the corner after you've clicked basket. Then click the basket again and pricing should come up.

The sensor with that part numebr is £12.64 inc from Citroen. Not much more expensive (if at all) than it will be from GSF i expect.

Hi Toby,

Ah yes! I've the habit of ignoring ghosted links, hence didn't hover over the "work details" button. It's not a bad price at all, £12.64 inclusive. With VAT, I think GSF is dearer, assuming it's the correct part.

I can even print off an order form - the lads at Citroen parts desk will be suprised when I present it.

Can I get/order anything for your Activa while I'm at it, Toby?

Nothing I can think of Mike, thanks for asking though.
