I still hear a droning noise when my 90Hdi is idling and the engine is warm.
I'm pretty sure it's not fans, although it does very much sound like that. Certainly rad fans are not on.
A clue? The noise stays at constant pitch if I rev the engine.
I got the car at 38000 miles a year ago, the noise started maybe 8 months ago, it happens quite often but not always and canreally only be heard when on tickover.
Can anyone please suggest what I might look at?
Droning noise still there! (Xantia 90Hdi)
