Citroen.Service Price Check Please?

Post by CitroJim »

Can someone with access to the live Citroen.Service please advise me of price/availability for Part. No. 4023 H2. That's the Activa-specific power steering supply pipe, the one with the flexible bit in the middle of it..

Mine's weeping at the rigid to flexi joint by the gearbox...

Else, anyone breaking an Activa?

Thanks :D

Thanks both :D

Actually, not a bad price for a complex pipe..

I now need to find out how much Pirtek will charge for a pattern one, that's if they can make a pattern one...

Jim, can this pipe be remade as a single copper contruction? I ask because the same pipe on the coupe is on my radar as being something to replace..

this has some solid sections and some flexi ones.. just wondered why a new version couldn't be bolted/held effectively under engine and not need to be flexible?

Not really John, as the rubber flexi section also acts as a shock absorber/sort of accumulator...

I believe that applies to yours too. If it's all rigid, you'll feel lots of vibration through the wheel...

While we are looking up prices
Could someone please look up the price of item 3, part 5270 RN ?
I can’t get prices from here, but they’re talking about $A600 / £370.
There’s a weep from the bundle, and I hope it’s the return pipe.
Thanks for your troubles. :D

Hi Clogz,

Price is as follows...

00005270RN OIL BACK HARNES 217.65 GBP 255.74 GBP 255.74 GBP

Looks like a local hydraulic place would make one up for a lot cheaper than that :)

Thanks Will, :D

The pipes are a bundle of three, and the weep is from inside a shroud that looks like it’s intended to prevent leakage onto the steering gaiter … as if they knew it was going to leak.
The return pipe is 10 cm from the exhaust manifold … just what we need in a hot country.
I’ve seen hoses rated to 350°C at a hydraulics place.

Thanks again for your troubles. Image

I've not tried in all honestly Malcolm as Laser give me what I want. It's only on very rare occasions I'm bothered about the cost of something...
