The electovalves which switch soft mode in and out rely on diodes to cope with the back voltage generated by the electric coils. If your diodes have failed then the electrovalves won't work.

This kit works by fitting new diodes and thus restoring the operation of your electrovalves.

It maybe cheaper to fit new diodes but if you have no electronic experience this is a lot cheaper than a new ECU - if you can get one :?
