Lovely CX, the best colour too, i do like that. Looks just like our old Gplate TRS but with different wheels.

Xm looks a little steep going by its condition. Odd paint colour etc.

The GSA is really nice, excellent condition.

These are also very nice Xms:

I'm very fortunate to have an example of each of the Cx/GSA/Xm listed.

If you don't buy (or at the very least drive) a Cx Gti T2 your life will never
be the same. Buy one and your life will most definitely NEVER be the same!!

Just been out loose with mine this evening and I'm still buzzing!! 8-)
I haven't driven it since August last year and now I'm left wondering
why I bother faffing about with my Xm's and Xantiae.

This Cx isn't just 'any old Cx' - it's one of the best versions to have and is
SUPER RARE- it really is a no brainer - superlatives are inadequate.
If you thought the Xm was special, try the Cx.

The GSA is very nice but to be really special needs to be a GS!!

CX's are great to drive but a nightmare to own. If the hydraulic system is like the one on the CX I had I wouldn't walk away , I'd run !!
As far as I know they also corrode like it was a virtue.

I thought that the ultimate Citroen ride was the DS ?
Now using '00 Xantia LX HDI, pov spec :(
My past Citroens :-
'00 Xantia SX HDI, now dead due to accident :(
'99 Xantia HDI 110 Exclusive, RIP :(
'97 Xantia TD SX
'96 Xantia TD LX
'96 ZX TD
'89 BX TD
'88 AX GT
'79 CX2400 Pallas (scrapped :( )
& a couple of Peugeots !

Hi,

CX post A reg (about 1984) are very rust resistant. They had wax injection done at the factory. My wifes old 2.2 A reg Family Estate did not rust and the hydraulics were very relaible (much more reliable and lasting than my D reg 1.9 RD BX!!

Not at all!

We certainly haven't had any nightmares with any of them. Fair enough they have there moments but nothing serious. Unfortunately it sounds like you had a bad one that has put you off.

The car on eBay looks quite a good one...but it's not in the best colour it could be and highish miles. CXs aren't phased my miles but it is nice to have a low mileage one. But, beggars can't be choosers nowadays as they are low on the ground in numbers. Save them if you can.

As Andrew says the Turbo 2s are certainly getting very rare...the Series 1 Turbo even more so...they are nearing extinction TBH!

XMs do not even compare to CXs - the CXs are just sooo much better in many ways.

I find that CXs around the Y reg mark have a tendency to be bad underneath with theirlongerons. I have heard of quite a few CXs that were basically scrap due to rust underneath and they were on the Y reg.
