A Few Laps of Knockhill

Unread post by evilally »

First time out in 8 months, a bit rough and ready. I jumped in and tried to drive the way I used to, and had a bit of a scare after 3 laps at the chicane. So I took it easy and kept it smooth for the rest of the night, lots more speed to be found next time out :D

nice one. Heard that you did the heal & toe technique.
Couldn't do that in my car. the brake pedal and throttle are abit awkward positioned
Sounded like a very noisy exhaust. How loud is it? within 105db?

Very smooth lines! You look young by the skin on your arm. Major chuckle at the cameo near the end.

I played it with music instead of the original soundtrack - The Golden Filter's Thunderbird almost fits your video length perfectly and its ambient sounds match the light conditions.

I turn 30 this year

Exhaust is a decatted straight through system, it's....ermm....loud!

Heal toe is a little tricky on the Clio, I really need nice thin souled shoes for it. Lots of practise in the works Kangoo really helped though :D

This is my mate , Nathan , leading a heat of the G50 cup last year at Knockhill. Although he spun out in this one , the speed of the G50's is impressive ! He went on to win the championship last year.
He's moved on to the British GT series this year in a GT4 spec G50 , but his team is running 4 cars in this years G50 cup.

The format of that video is too narrow , distorts the appearance. They are low , wide and mean !! GRP body on tube chassis , 4 ltr V6 , 300BHP , 950 KG , sequential box.

Nice  Good proper racing there.

Exactly where I had my moment, that little hump coming out of the chicane can really kick the car off balance.
