Citroen Indy Aberdeen?

Unread post by Gingerposer »

Can anyone suggest a citroen mechanic in Aberdeen or surrounding area? I don't want to (and can't afford to!) pay main dealer rates and my Xantia is needing a few things done as it failed the mot

Cheers

I went to bosch garage in Laurenkirk Tower Garage, they were good and significantly cheaper than even other Bosch garages.
C'est pas possible!

I have found one five minutes from where I work, Oldmill Motors. They also do MOTs and were a bit surprised when they read the fail sheet, they said there were things on there which are only allowed to be recorded as advisory items, which have been recorded as fails.
Taking the car in to them on friday so they can check it over themselves.

Wish me luck!

Well, still a fail, despite the hope that it would be a different story with them. Labour being the major cost. Here's the detail:

Front spheres flat

Power steering pipe leaking

Track rod end ball joint excessive play

Offside front (strut pipe) fluid suspension unit interconnecting pipe corroded and seriously weakened

(Front-rear abs pipe) fluid suspension unit interconnecting pipe corroded and seriously weakened.

I would rather not give up the car so if there is anyone in the area who could help me do this without having to sell a kidney, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Cheers
