Airbag/seatbelt fault on 2005 c5

hi
refitted a drivers airbag to the steering wheel, still get the fault Airbag/seatbelt fault on the info screen.
i have read that the airbag modual needs the fault removing, can this be done in situe with diagnostics.
also will this cause the service indicater to stay on.

Depends if airbags have been deployed, My C5 had a fault and it cleared as soon as the fault was fixed, Using a Lexia will tell you what faults there are though, might be on a different airbag.
