I need a new sump (rust sump+jet washer=Hole) for a 1995 106 with a 1.5D TUD5 NA engine.
Would any sump from a 106 or Saxo TUD5 fit or are they specific?
Temporarily mended with epoxy steel stick but a visit to the scrappy I think is in order.
Are all TUD5 Sumps the same?

As far as I can tell, (for Peugeot at least) , all the TUD5's share the same sump:
Peugeot part number : 0301G4
There's only three places they appear in my listings (including the older and new shape) as far as I am aware and they all all share that part number.
Off topic: They list a TUD5 with the oil / water cooler arrangement similar to the XUD, although I've never ever seen this fitted to one.
Hope that helps

Yes,
This car is crying out for some TLC.
I've never seen an airfilter that dirty.
At least the Fuel filter is dead easy to sort on these, access and removal wise. Not like the old Lucas set-up on the 309 1.9D.
See if I can get down to the scrappy today to grab a newer sump.[/i]

It was a matter of time
I just managed to resurrect my Peugeot Servicebox log-in, and created one for Citroen service.
It would appear that the same part no for the Sump (0301 G4) was on all TUD5s in Saxo 106 & AX with and without oil coolers (although the diagrams on Citroen site show slight differences on the sump - are these diagrams supposed to be true to life, or just representative?)

Have you considered a 'new' sump ? they might not be much worth a phone call.
The diagrams are only a basic representation not deemed to be 100% accurate, mainly they are made accurate enough so parts personnel can be sure they are looking at the right part etc.
As far as I am aware, the oil cooler arrangement (the XUD style cooler on the filter) was only fitted to the TUD in hot countries. If you look at a mid-life (not sure of the proper phrase!) XUD (with the fuel heater on the back of the block, the unpleasant one) , you`ll see it shows hot countries and they just have a hose no heater block arrangement.
Andy.

That's a lot more than I thought it would be, given its a piece of tin
I had some vague idea it would be around £30 to a maximum of £50.
Perhaps Alex is off to the scrapyard then afterall. My thought for a new one was simply to avoid mess of taking one off , cleaning it and then fitting it etc.

Scrapyards are now rubbish!!
The pull bits off yourself scrappy I normally use has closed, and a quick ring round the rest seems to indicate that they are rocking like horse poo. It would appear the remaining vehicle "dismantlers" in this town don't bother splitting these engines.
My try breakersweb or for prices.

I can't belive this. No responses from Breakersweb etc,
peugeot price £98 for a new one (broad green wellingborough- I find really helpful usually)
I might end up buying a whole engine to keep for spares
Something tells me they are worth more a s scrap metal than as spares.
