Kenny - they look like those for a Volvo 240 series dash, if your factor doesn't list Xantia.

they are mostly 1.2W cap less, but on some later cars there legs might be spot welded into there holder, this makes them a lot more costly tp buy,

my local motor factors sells them in box's of ten, i think they are around the 20p mark each

Hi Kenny,

Buy them in quantity from this mob and fit them to your existing caps. I've done MK2 panels using these without issue and not personally found them welded in as Malcolm reports. That's not to say they might not be.

The ones I find welded in are the heater panel bulbs and these must be replaced complete.

I've dealt with the AutoBulbsDirect mob in the past and find their service very good.

Note you can have pretty colours too...

Just a suggestion before you strip the dashboard to change bulbs, try giving the area near the dead bulb a good solid bash. This worked for me and resuscitated several aparently dead bulbs, possibly they corrode slightly over the years and a good thump restores the contact, who knows?
Of course worst case scenario you may kill some of the remaining good bulbs.........

Cheers

Another suggestion for dash bulbs - look on ebay for fruit machine bulbs - they are the same as many dash bulbs and very cheap to buy this way - I got a batch of 100 for a few quid a couple of years ago.

Obviously I haven't used them all so I could put up a pic of them if anyone is interested, would send them out to anyone who wants a couple - just send an SAE.
