Re assurance needed
My brakes failed yesterday in London, they were binding, getting worse then pedal went to floor.....so.... waited then peddle ok.....I guess there was fluid vapourised because of the binding.
I relaced the pads freed up the caliper carriage and replaced the fluid.......It seems fine now but have I missed something?, If I fit a new caliper do I have to fit both?

If you are not losing brake fluid I would be looking at the master cylinder. It might be that the internal seals are not holding the pressure.
