Post by DickieG »

At the usual venue of Little Horwood, Friday settling in and curry night, Saturday convoy drive and evening meal of Beef Bourguignon etc, Sunday main day. Full English breakfast and picnics available on Saturday and Sunday, with free tea, coffee and squash all weekend.

Oh and for Malcolm's benefit a dedicated first aider

Will this First Aider be in that DS (or was it a CX) Ambulance? I hear that he complained that the one he went in wasn't as comfortable as a hydraulic Citroen

Sorry Toby, Peugeot owners, even if they have a Citroen, are specifically barred. I had to resign my membership when I got Robyn her 206...

Many thanks Richard. Will sort that out now

Jim, you fiend! It's not just any old Peugeot, it's stunning. Filled up the other day and everyone in the fuel station just kept staring at it. At first I thought I'd done something wrong, til I realised. Is a good feeling!

Sorry Toby, just joking! You know full well my thoughts on the 406 Coupe; one of the most beautifully stunning cars ever produced.

Back along at work I saw a red 406 Coupe parked behind a red 407 Coupe. Now the 407 is quite a looker for a modern but the 406 still looked the much more attractive of the two. Somehow more svelte and smooth; For my money, nothing beats it. Gorgeous. Drop-dead gorgeous in fact.

Nobody looks twice at a Xantia do they? Even if it is a V6 or an Activa :(

The only time I ever had admiring looks at a vehicle of mine was when I ran a black Suzuki GT550 Triple. It's a good feeling :D

Quite Jim,

I find the 407 ugly actually.

No one does look at the Xantia twice. I like this also though, especially when the Activa starts making mincemeat of something more exotic down twisty lanes. Proper Q-car...

Bit early for me. I'll probably be booking a fare mid-May, for arrival sometime in September.

Still looking for a 406 break (diesel) owner who can live without their car for two weeks - in exchange for a good amount of folding.
