IT SEEMS THAT I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE FRONT BRAKES ON MY ZX 1.4I. WHEN DRIVING I CAN HERE A SLIGHT SQUEAKING NOISE FROM THE FRONT RIGHT I.E. DRIVERS SIDE. AND THE RIGHT WHEEL SEEMS TO GET HOTTER ON THE RIGHT TO THE LEFT. AFTER A RUN THE RIGHT IS 100+C AND THE LEFT HOVERING AROUND 60C.
ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. I HAVE, RATHER THE GARAGE HAS HAD THE FRONT BRAKES IN BITS I.E. PADS OUT ETC COPPER GREASED BACK OF PADS, SLIDES ETC.
WHICH IS THE BEST WAY OF FINDING WHETHER THE BRAKES ARE BINDING
IS IT POSSIBLE THAT A WARPED DISK COULD RUB AGAINST THE PAD CAUSING THE NOISE AND HEAT BUILD UP.
THANKS A LOT
JONATHAN

What is the best way of finding a binding brake? It gets hot - you've found it! Jack it up and spin the wheel and you should be able to hear it binding. Now as to the resolution, I am no Zxpert, but I have read here that the front brakes are prone to seizing up - maybe rectified with a caliper overhaul, ad cleaning of the sliding pins, but may need a new caliper fitting.
