Does anyone know the correct torque wrench setting for my BX 19GTi gearbox oil filler plug - which also doubles as a level hole ?
My Haynes manual doesn't really cover this gearbox properly - it only refers to BX 16/19 'boxes that don't (so they claim) have a level hole.
The crush washer I've just bought is almost exactly the same size (give or take .1mm) as a Xantia sump plug washer, so maybe a Xantia sump plug torque wrench setting would do (if it has an alloy sump, of course!).
Thanks,
Jim.

Go with that shown for a BX 19.
I think Haynes must have had a bad day when they couldn't find that filler/level plug for a 16/19 as I've owned one of each & haven't had a problem on either finding it.
I don't know the torque on that is all that critical anyway unless you're some of these gorillas working in a service agency and like to tighten everything so tight anyone wanting to remove them needs a 6 foot extension on the socket to achieve it. [}:)][:o)]
