Xantia back wheels too low

Unread post by dwthia »

My Xantia 2.0 petrol turbo - back wheel level has dropped by several inches. I can raise etc no problem but during driving it drops too low and the back springs around making driving difficult and uncomfortable. How can I set the default setting up a few inches

hi.

Sounds like your anti roll bar clamp has broke, or the plastic clip has come off which is common if the Rear height controller Levers have siezed.

The clip joins the clamp to the lever, and its this that maintains the "Automatic" level of the rear. If the car goes up on the lever inside the car, this confirms it.

Back the car UP ONTO RAMP.. and she has to be on ramps for safty reasons, and under the rear you'll see the rear height corrector (Lieing under the car facing upwards ) to the left of the CENTRE anti sink sphere..

Look for a plastic clip in that area and it it should be hanging off, or the clamp broken.. Before fixing those two, the levers for the height corrector must be free to move smoothly.. my bet is they will be hard.
