xantia 1.9 turbo heater

Can any one explain/supply info on aircon .Problem have is all vents blowing cold except middle 2 .Checked plenty of things but what does this stepper motor do ie think it moves a flap has anyone got a technical description of this and how to remove it and test without removing the dashboard .

If its the stepper motor likely you wont be able to alter the temperature. The motor operates the flap that controls the air flow through the heater matrix. They can fail and on the XM they are a pig to get at, dont know about the Xantia
