Hi all
I think i need to replace the rear arm bearings on my 1997(P) 1.9td xantia estate, having read nearly every thread on the subject on here, i am about to order some bits from GSF,
Should i buy the Bearing Kit listed for the xantia, or would the BX bearing and bearing seal surfice - the BX bits are 1/3 of the price.
thankyou in advance for any help you can provide

Hi,
From looking at the citroen-service site :-.
Whilst some of the parts, bolt, spacers etc are the same same part numbers), the xantia estate uses different bearings and seals (and nut, washer and plastic cover tube, althougn the bolts are the same).
The xantia saloon however, does seem to use the same bits as the BX.
There is no distinction between the saloon and estate for the BX.
So the answer sees to be "no" - sorry.
Regards
John

Seven or so years ago I owned a 2.1 Xantia Estate and I bought the necessary for doing the rear arm bearings. As far as memory goes, GSF didn't do a kit for the estate. The saloon kit wouldn't fit and so I bought the bearings from GSF and the spacers from the Cit dealer. I sold the car before I got around to fitting the bearings, and I later sold them on this forum.
