405 drivers door difficult to open

Drivers door can only be opened from inside car with a hefty shove from my elbow? Seems that both inner and outer door handles are sort of jammed and don't want to release door(although inner handle will just about work with the elbow trick!)
Anyone got any ideas before I dismantle the door?
This fault happened after a 3 month period off the road, and I suspect the inner lock mechanism is jammed.

My offside rear door suffers in the same way. The striker plate mounted on the door pillar can be loosened with a Torx driver and moved around a bit (up, down, in and out) which may help.
