Raising & Lowering suspension

Post by Taffyrhys »

Hello
when i do my monthly raising of my citroen xantia 1.9td to check the fluid levels, the back end doesn't always comes down like the front afterwards. The only way it comes down is to drive it down the road and within a half mile its back to the normal ride height again. I replaced the rear spheres last year and everything else is ok.

Cheers for any help.

Most likely the manual height adjuster has seized up. You can get it going by getting it up on ramps, spraying it up well with release fluid then working the lever to and fro from underneath till it gets going. Make sure there is enough room under the car for you in case the suspension comes down in a rush!
