I've managed to get my central locking working by cleaning all the contacts in the fob but if I lock the car with this every couple of mins there's a beep-ish sound so had to lock the car at night using the key as this would have annoyed my neighbours(and me).
Any thoughts?
Also when I stop the car and switch off the ignition there are some electronic beeps 3 times I think. As I'm new to this car this is all new to me.It has had an alarm fitted that has been disconnected by the PO.
More thoughts?
TIA.

My thoughts exactly. It's always hard with older/2nd hand cars working through what POs have done.ken newbold wrote:Has to be something to do with the alarm or keypad immobiliser
Here's an mp3 of beeps after I switch the ignition off.

On a side note anyone reading this should add this stuff to your armoury as we,"Bikers" have been using it for around 5 years now.

It really is the dog's danglies. It's what WD40 wishes it was.It not only a better rust release protection on re-fit it also does electrics/HTs/Chrome and even rad hoses. It appears a little expensive but it's not as it goes a long long way.
