Partner Combi indicator problem

Unread post by roz »

Hello

After turning right, my indicators jump to the left and are otherwise erratic.

Am told I need a new stalk/unit and a mechanic friend has told me he can fit it, if I find the part myself.

Before I start searching the salvage pages, can someone help me out - do I need to find the exact salvage model (mine is a Partner Combi 2.0 HDI diesel escapade '53) or would a stalk from an earlier or different model be OK. Also would a stalk from a Berlingo fit?

Many thanks!

A 53 plate will have whats known as a Com2000, It's a combined lighting & wiper stalk . Definitely not interchangeable with the earlier type.
It has to be off the same spec car, For example i would imagine being a combi it has a rear wiper ? The van version most likely wont have a rear wiper so there will be no switch for the rear wiper.
A new one is very expensive.

I needed one for my 51 plate 406, the garage quoted me about £200 for the part alone.

Sounds like exactly the same problem I've got with mine.

Thanks very much for your quick replies. I think, on balance, the best thing to do is put up with it!

Cheers
