c5 odd running, sluggish

Post by sportingfiat »

been to look at a c5 110 hdi today, 03 with just under 100k and fsh

car drove fine but was real sluggish while cold, as was warming up could feel turbo coming in and started pulling loads better but every now and then went sluggish again? was as though the turbo wasnt coming in

dont think turbo was dead as when was in pulled like a train and not an ounce of smoke either

any ideas?

brill bargain if can sort the running issue

Yep, i would have saidthe mass air flow meter too.

Though im not sure how you would know this for certain. HDis can have injector issues, its rare but its something to think about. Though its not smoking and performed well sometimes?

How much is it out of interest? What spec? LX, SX, VTR, Exclusive etc?

In good condition with a reasonable spec id expect around £2000, maybe more/less but around there.

I think i have the same prob, when started for 1st second or two it will flash briefly on display eco mod but no error lamp on,after much googling it appears to be the turbo vacuum control valve, read the symptoms and solution on a hdi pug here http://www.peugeotcentral.co.uk/modules ... viewresult
I just have to get hold of said valve from citroen dealer to test as i have no lamp on and same power prob,ps if you turn car on then off quickly it may return to full power until switched off again weird eh.
